A little sad

Unfortunately, Logan cost us a small fortune to have even with insurance, so we have decided (mid pregnancy) to switch to Kaiser. I've never had an HMO before so I don't know what to expect, but I'm not a Kaiser hater....especially since my older bro just happens to be a physician for Kaiser. I'm just sad to leave my OB, Hoag, and especially my pediatrician. I get a little teary eyed when I think about finding a new ped. for both Logan and the new baby. My top concern right now is finding the best doc to perform the new baby's circ. I'm also worried about how fast anesthesia will respond when it is time for my epidural....it better be STAT!

Fortunately, I let my bro know about the insurance switch so he said he will help find me some good doctors. He may just have to take the day off when I have the baby just in case I need to have a personal doctor, not that I would EVER let him be in the delivery room!

The diaper bag turned out really cute. And, I know I've already told you this but I have been very happy with kaiser...so far.

(caught blog stalking you..)
Anyway, just thought I would tell you that I have had all three of my girls at Kaiser (C-sections, all in Harbor City) and have always recieved THE BEST care!! (My kids dr is head of Peds there...love her!) If you need any recommendations on doctors, ask away.
Congrats on baby #2!

I LOVE that diaper bag you whipped up! I'm sure Kaiser will be just fine...they'll see that you're a nurse and give you top dog treatment!

ps. Lets do Heartwell/el dorado (whatever that park was) again soon. That was fun and easy!

Oh sister, I feel your pain so much. I did, however, have a perfect delivery at Kaiser (we used to have them a few years back) with Katie. It was actually my least painful c-section and I was super happy with the nurses that took care of me and especially the NICU nurses that tended to Katie. It was the specialists I had a hard time with, mostly their attitude towards the situation... but other than that I was really happy. Good luck though and what a huge relief to have your brother on your side.

I too am loving and dying over that darling diper bag!

I have Kaiser and loved it! They were a little late with giving Jamie her epidural so I made it a point that they BETTER be there!!! and when that time came I made it very clear that I needed it NOW! and they were wonderful!
