looking down the barrel of a 90 mph fastball!

the camera work is shaky, and Logan can't decide if he wants to kick it, throw it, or hit it, but I thought the footwork and form on that fastball were too perfect to not show off. i'm not putting in my 2 weeks notice at work yet, but I am starting the preparations for an early retirement.

Hypertensive crisis!!

Yesterday, I went into the Dr's office for a routine OB exam and my blood pressure was high. I expected it would be (at the end of my pregnancy with Logan my pressure reached over 200 systolic). After a few more checks, the Dr. decided to ruin my plans of going to Disneyland and send me to the hospital to rule out preeclampsia. So it wasn't a hypertensive crisis by the medical definition, but trying to figure out what to do with my 18-mth old was a little bit of a crisis for me, especially since they told me that I might have to stay overnight at the hospital if my pressure didn't go down. Luckily, Kyle was able to meet me at the hospital and while I would've liked the company at the hospital, he was able to take Logan home and entertain him. At the hospital, they made me strip down, put on a gown, hooked me up to all the fetal monitoring, drew lots of labs, and checked my BP every 5 minutes. Turns out my pressure was perfect with me taking a nap. But, today I get to do a 24 hr urine collection, which is a horrible to do when you are pregnant!! They told me to put the bottle in the fridge....I don't think so!

Let the nesting begin

Yesterday I had a doctor's appointment. The medical tech mentioned to me that I am 34 weeks pregnant (which I knew), but hearing it sent me into a little bit of a panic. I've been trying to clean and organize the last couple of weeks, but have found that it is nearly impossible to keep a spotless house with a little logi bear following in my footsteps leaving everything around. So I moved on to finishing a few projects that have been laying around half done for months. Most of Logan's old stuff will be passed down to our nameless child, but I wanted a few new things so here are a few...

Burps
blankets
Tag blankets, I made one for Logan and one for the new baby. Kyle claims that they are dangerous.
Covers for my "inclined to sleep" pad. After proudly showing Kyle that I figured out how to make a cover, he told me, "the kid is just going to pee all over it." Can you tell he doesn't love my sewing projects? That comment inspired me to make a few more covers for back ups. Church ties for Logan and onesie applique ties for the baby.
Iron ons that I found at Joannes
A birthday box minus a picture of the little guy. I can't wait to see what he looks like!
I also made curtains for the office, but can't get a good picture of them. I happily put my sewing machine away until I realized I needed to make a few more things....ugh!
Kyle also has been nesting in a manly way. He has decided to pull out a few trees/bushes around the house. Here is just one of them...
BeforeAfter
Now we both just need to apply our energy to getting the house ready for our new baby!

Logan's lip

It seems like everytime we meet up with friends Logan falls. It doesn't matter where we are, he always finds something to climb up, and falls down even with me right by his side. I always thought that I kept a pretty good eye on him, but with as frequent as it happens I'm not sure.

Logan doesn't get many baths (he does get showered daily) because he splashes like a crazy man which leaves me with water all over the walls and floor to clean up. But tonight I decided to let him have his fun in the bath. No surprise that with me sitting right by the bath he hit his mouth on the side of the tub, bled, and now has a fat lip. Luckily, he never cries too long after these accidents!
