Now, I few years later, I have Logan who is nearly one and is not very reverent in church. So I just finished the books in hopes that they would keep him entertained on Sundays. I know some of you wanted to make a quiet book so I posted each page just in case it would give any of you ideas on how to make your own.
Easy Sacrament book
All I did was use stickers for a front cover and self laminated each page I bought some pictures at the bookstoreand cut out the rest from magazines after I was done with them
I also found a brief testimony from each of the prophets of the Savior and included them in there for the day when Logan can read them.

I have about 30 pictures in total so it is a pretty thick book, the hardest part was punching holes in each page. So there it is, an easy Sacrament book, if it doesn't keep Logan quiet, maybe I will look at it and it will give me peace instead of the feeling of wanted to dropkick my son.
The not so easy book is my quiet book, and it is actually easy but time consuming. I found ideas from Martha, church vendors, and of course blogs!
Front cover: just iron on letters that I stenciled and cut out. The picture is just print on fabric that I sewed on.
A cute apple tree. The four apples are snapped on and can be put in the basket. A little tithing lesson. I laminated 10 pennies so that Logan didn't put them in him mouth and choke on them. They are attached with tiny pieces of velcro. The idea is that he will eventually learn to put 1 penny in the tithing pocket and the rest in the pocket in the piggy bank.
Jonah: I just sewed a zipper in the felt whale. I don't have a finger puppet yet because I can't draw but I'm hoping to have my brother draw me a little cartoon Jonah so that I can finish this.
Just a little house where the windows and doors open up to reveal a cat, bird, and mouse.
Popcorn popping: Just snaps on the back of each popcorn piece and another basket to put them in.
Noahs ark: I had these pictures from when I taught nursey, so I just colored laminated, and put little pieces of velcro on the back. The ark is a large pocket to put the animals in.
Flower garden: the flowers unbutton, very simple.
Pres. Hinckley's B's: The beehive is sewn on and the yellow material is fuzzy. This page had a lot of potential until I made a bad choice and decided to use fabric paint to stencil on the letters. The problem was Logan wouldn't stop screaming and I wanted to get it done, so I did it all one handed which didn't turn out so good. Oh well, I'll just pretend Logan painted them. The bees are cut from fabric I found, laminated and velcroed on.
Kinda girly, but I saw the idea on someones blog and had to make it. It is just a clothes line and I made little clothes items and attached clothes pins. So the clothes can be attached to the line or put in the basket.

I am in heaven with this book. It is fantastic!! You are just the best mom around.
I feel terrible that I never got you those three rings I told you I would give to you. I am so sorry. I hope you found them with ease.
Darling book!
I love these books! You are so talented.
I love the updated version! My mom made those for us growing up! We called them "Quiet Books" (because they kept us quiet after sacrament)! They were the best things growing up, each child had their own.. good thing because mine was way girlie compared to the boy's. I LOVE it!
I'm definitely going to have to agree with Megan on this one...
Trisha = CRAZY !!!!!
