Roller coaster

I failed miserably to finish the month off with things I am grateful for, because my camera battery died and I have yet to replace it. Thanksgiving was spent at my parents house. My parents invested in some toys to have at their house for when grandkids (Logan's the only one for now) come over. My dad caught a picture of Logan riding the roller coaster and it makes me crack up every time I see it. Who needs Disneyland?

Today I'm grateful

For chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven.....that melt all over Logan's face (and clothes).

Today I'm grateful

for my friends. I used to see nearly all of them at church on Sundays, but we all live in different wards now. Our friend Amy, had a "thankful for friends" thanksgiving dinner at her house on Thursday, so we all got to eat and visit without the distraction of our children.

Today I'm grateful

Yesterday is over! We had our first Kaiser peds appointment yesterday and Logan was quite a handful. Screamed the entire time, even when they were measuring his head. I guess he is familiar now with what a doctor's office entails. Poor guy got 4 shots and was so clingy and grumpy yesterday.....actually he still is today, but I've just come to the conclusion that I'm not going to get much done today, so I will sit around and hold him. Glad those shots are over!

Today I'm grateful for

My washer and dryer. Logan woke up at 2am with vomit everywhere and ended up vomiting every hour or so until 6am. Thankfully, I have a washer and dryer and will be washing loads and loads of bedding, pjs, and blankets. Kyle just called to tell me he wasn't feeling well, so it looks like I will be nursing my guys back to good health while getting some laundry done!

Today I'm grateful for

Naptime. Usually during Logan's 1 nap I have things around the house I have to get done. But about once a week I take advantage of the freedom and take a little nap too. Today, all three of us were deserving of a nap......4 if you count gato, but she sleeps all the time.

Today I'm thankful

For my hair tassy! Yesterday I got the flu and it came in handy as I ran to the bathroom to vomit my brains out. No vomit in the hair at least! I know I already posted this picture of Logan but you really don't want to see me in it! Sorry, no thankful entry yesterday....I just wasn't able to make it to the computer. Although I will say that I am very grateful Kyle came home from work a couple hours early to relieve me of my motherly duties for the night.

I'm thankful

I got to see this little guy via ultrasound today. But, it was probably one of the most uncomfortable ones I've had (the tech was pushing so hard with the probe), I had the fullest bladder ever (and was saying prayers that I wouldn't pee my pants), and during the 45 minute ultrasound the screen was faced away from me (until the last 5 minutes). Still I always love seeing my babies on the screen!

Today I'm thankful...

Logan got to play with his friends which means I got to see mine. Thanks to Sarah for having everyone over for lunch. It was a little hard getting a good picture of just these 4 kids. If I've counted right there was a total of 13 kids/babies among 9 moms. Fun times....except I think Logan broke a piggy bank.

Today I am thankful for

My mom....who decided to stay the weekend with us. This means zero diapers, feedings, entertaining Logan, etc for me. I just get to sit back, watch them play, and enjoy the little kicks I feel in my stomach.

Today I'm thankful for....

Sunday evenings with my family spent feeding ducks at a local pondas well as some forceful geese, that only hissed at us a few times.

Saturday Night

My cousin Jamie married Chad Cordero (who is a pro baseball player, although I would've never known it since I don't really follow sports). Logan had so much fun at at the wedding last night. He danced for about 2 hours straight usually right in front of the huge speakers. The videographers and camera crew were following him around and all the young bridesmaids were trying to dance with him. He made his mom proud and turned each of them down. I failed to get good pictures of the newlyweds because all of them had people blocking the couple. The wedding was in Dana Point and the ceremony was nice and short, perfect for the attention span of a 14 month old (and Kyle).

Then it was cocktail time. But since there was a lot of sushi (which I can't eat during pregnancy) and Logan was out of control trying to take everyones alcoholic drinks, we just let the kid run around outside until it was time for the reception.

My mom took care of him most of the night....here's my view of him from where I was sitting at the table. Blocked by three tall vases.

(I pretended that I was having a dinner with just me and my husband).
But I kept my eyes on him to see how much he was eating.

We had such a good time, left with three candy apples from The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory (which was heaven for me), and Logan truly slept like a baby completely worn out from all the dancing!

missed a day

Yesterday we were gone almost all day at a wedding for my cousin Jamie, so I didn't have time to post what I was thankful for. I'll have to do two today!

Yesterday I was thankful....that it was Saturday! Saturday means Kyle is home all day, Logi and I love spending all day with him.

A month of thanks

Jill Tanner gave me the idea of taking a picture everyday this month of things I am grateful for. I don't think I can commit to taking a new picture everyday so old ones will have to occasionally do.
Today, I am grateful for Logan who always has one eye on me.....
He's my shadow and never lets me get too far away!

Trick or treat

We named him Logan, he quickly became Logi, then Logi-Bear (I guess instead of Yogi-bear), and now Kyle calls him solely bear. So grandma Hunt got Logan a bear costume for Halloween. Cutest bear I've ever seen!!! We went to second street where all the stores pass out candy. Logan was a little timid at first, but after a few stores he walked right up to the candy person, looked in their containers of candy and took what he wanted. Noone seemed to mind. We met up with fisherman Harrison for some trick or treating! We also ran into a lot of families from our old ward, but the only picture I took was of Kyle talking to them. Logan had a great first Halloween, especially after he dipped into his bag of candy.
With those legs (passed down by me I fear), he probably should of been a chicken!
