This week....

was a good week! Dad was home more because the office closed early. Logan loved seeing his dad's truck pull up the driveway. We were slacker parents though, and ran out of time to buy a tree, so we made due with three mini trees I had. Luckily, Logan doesn't know the difference.
Kyle is determined to make a basketball player out of Logan, so one of his presents was a hoop, but it is a little tall for him. We like to challenge him I guess.
The Holloways invited us on a boat tour around Huntington Harbor to look at the lights and Logan got to hang out with Reese and Drake who are his 2nd cousins.
And I got to hang out with Melissa
My older brother FINALLY got married so we spent the day at the LA temple.
I had to contribute to the money dance (although I ended up having to borrow money from my younger brother....I don't work remember).
Logan ran full force the whole day and night and got tangled in some tulle. He must know that ones of our favorite friends has a strong liking for tulle!

Life just keeps getting more and more fun with this kid around (and a little tiring also).

Logan meet Santa

Last year it was very simple to get a cute picture of Logan with Santa. He just sat in his arms and stared at him. This year we went to Disneyland and met Santa........not as easy. Just a sidenote, I'm a little sad at how big Logan got in a year.
So I had to sit on Santa's lap with him. Maybe Santa should've sat on my lap...I requested a larger Santa next time.

Advent calendar/December birthdays

I got the idea to make a stocking advent calendar from Jill Tanner, and its taken me the first 10 days of December to complete and hang up. I just made two stocking patterns, they are fairly small, and are filled with a candy cane for Logan to put on the Christmas tree everyday, and a piece of paper with an activity to complete for the day. Of course Logan has no clue what's going on, but it seems like it will be a fun family tradition. For todays activity we made a Christmas tree cake and he enjoyed sticking his fingers into the icing on the cake, so I guess it was worth it. I tried to make each stocking different, but they are all pretty simple. Here is todays stocking.
Today a bunch of us got together for a birthday lunch celebration. Two of my good friends have December birthdays.....I'm glad these two were born!

Party #2

Another fun day with the best weather and best company. Today we headed out to Disneyland with the Hess girls. "It's a small world" just reopened and I think the kids loved it! I hesitate posting this picture, you will have to forgive my plainness and largeness (no time for makeup since I had an early morning doctor's appointment and went straight to Disneyland, and the baby is makin me eat all these tasty foods hence the largeness)......Logan looks pretty cute though.
Can't go to Disneyland without a ride on the carousel.
Fun, fun, fun, especially because we haven't hung out with Megan and Collin for awhile. Thank goodness Megan works today though.....her rather brisk walking (and I'm a fast walker) was giving me contractions!

A perfect way to start December

Today we went to Sea World with the Hess girls! Megan's "happiest place on earth" is Disneyland, but Sea World is mine. I love everything about it!

We began with a ride in the Sesame Street area
And then let the kids climb around in the play areaand play in the bouncy house. We waited....and saw dolphins (who weren't on their best behavior today and had to be taken to the back for a few minutes)
we saw hungry seals
the kids loved the big fish in the aquarium
Collin loved the 3d sesame street show (logan wouldn't keep the glasses on)we touched some star fish
visited the manatees
Logan developed a new pose for all pictures when asked to "smile"
Megan knows my motion sickness problem and bravely took both kids on the teacups
We met Elmo, who Collin surprisingly feared to the point of tremblingand met big bird!

Everything else we saw somehow didn't make it on camera. We saw a lot of shows and exhibits and we wore the kids out, they were both asleep by the time we left the parking lot and slept the entire way home. I'm a little tired too!
