One year older

Yesterday was my birthday!!! Here's a little summary of my day....I woke up to this little guy who didn't let his mom sleep in on her birthday

I got this in the mail from my two guys (if any of you girls want to go let me know!)

I had lunch with Kendall and Melissa B. but didn't take any pictures, thanks girls. Then we went to the Angels game, thanks to Kyle's boss who gave us his tickets.

And the Hess's joined us, Matthew is always up for a baseball game!

The kids were pretty well behaved

First time to a baseball game, unless you count dad's city and church league.

The only player that I was familiar with (picture not zoomed, right Megan)

Collin entertained us with her funny faces and crazy tongue. She made this face everytime we asked her, "Where is Logan?"

Worn out and needed a late nap during the game, which was good for the game, but not for the rest of the night!
Thanks for the fun birthday everyone!

Princess Party

Logan was invited to Ella's birthday party today. It was a princess party and the invitation said to dress as a princess or prince, so Logan was a frog prince. Before I left for the party I sent Kyle a picture of the little frog, he can't believe his tough boy is attending princess parties!(for all my crafty friends: the party gave me another reason to sew so I made a mask and frog feet.....Kyle can't believe how short Logan's shorts are, but I promise they aren't as short as they look in the picture.)Katie is the birthday girl's sister and she is normally in school when we have play dates so it was fun to have her around. Me and Megan with Katie, Logan, the birthday girl, and collinMegan made a cute tutu for Ella and Shawna made a great model

First craft exchange

It all started when my friend Sarah posted a blog about car seat covers and wondered if anyone knew how to make them. I probably had no business making one, but decided that I would find a pattern and try to make one for her. She picked out cute fabric and I got to work. I won't share the pattern info because I think it was a bad pattern and had to tweak it so much. It isn't perfect, but I am pretty happy with how it turned out....although I'm sorry that Sarah had to be my guinea pig. As happy as I am that I figured out how to make a car seat cover, I think my sewing machine will retire for awhile! It wasn't a planned craft exchange but Sarah made Logan the cutest scrapbook. Here are a few of my favorite pages (I haven't had time to put pictures in yet).
What a fun craft exchange! If anyone ever wants to do an exchange (maybe not on carseats) let me know!

This weekend

Kyle and I used to love riding our bikes but stopped when I was a few months pregnant since he got tired of taking me by the arm and pulling me. We have been looking for a trailor for Logan to sit in so we can go for little rides together and finally found one this weekend. Kyle says he has to give more thought than normal, and be careful what he does on the bike now. So for the hour or so that we ride he gets to experience how I felt for 40+ weeks while I was pregnant.
Logan didn't like sharing his space with his friend Harrison

So he punched him (not really, I think he was reaching for me)

Watching general conference was a little different with an almost 8-month old who likes to hear his voice. So I gave him a biter biscuit that kept him quiet.....

But messy!

And earlier this week Logan started climbing up on things. Now I wake up to him peeking over the top of the crib glaring at me (although it is cute to see, I'm not that happy about him being able to see me in the room, so no picture).

He owns us!

Kyle and I were trying to get some errands done and Logan threw the biggest fit in the car. He wasn't just sad or crying but screaming at the top of his little lungs......So although dangerous and illegal he got to ride in the front seat with dad, and he was immediately happy!
